Facts and Figures
Patients with thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism): 370
Patients with thyroid cancer: 370
Radioactive iodine treatments: 680
Intraarterial therapy with radionuclides for malignant liver tumors (HCC, metastases): 78
Treatment with open radionuclides: 54
Focus areas
All diagnostic procedures in nuclear medicine.
Thyroid diagnostics (and treatment) including, but not limited to, follow-up care for thyroid carcinomas and diagnosis of endocrine tumors. The clinics radiopharmaceutical department produces radiopharmaceuticals for its two positron emission tomography (PET) scanners. A PET scanner is dedicated to examinations supporting diagnoses of dementia and heart muscle vitality. A PET/CT scanner is used for oncological exams.
Full spectrum of nuclear medicine treatments including, but not limited to, radio iodine therapy for thyroid disorders, radionuclide therapy for metastase-related bone pain, MIBG therapy (neuroblastoma, malignant phaeochromocytoma), radio immune therapy (lymphoma), intrapleural or intraperitoneal treatment of malignant effusions, intraarterial treatment of liver tumors (SIRT).
