The group of Prof. Lang studies molecular and cellular immunological mechanism which can influence the outcome of human disease. This includes immunopathology occurring during autoimmune disease, infectious disease, tumor disease and transplantation. For the studies of such genes mouse models are used.

The following mouse models are currently used:

• Lmphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV)
• Vesicular stomatitis Virus (VSV)
• Listeria monocytogenes
• RIP-GP model (Autoimmune diabetes)
• B16 melanoma model
