Sören Latteyer received the “Karl-Oberdisse-Preis" 2018 for his work “Thyroxine promotes tumor growth in an orthotopic lung cancer mouse model” at the annual conference of the Nordrhein-Westfälische Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie und Diabetologie e.V. in Münster.

Eva Salveridou was awarded for giving the best lecture at the 33rd Arbeitstagung Experimenteller Schilddrüsenforschung (AESF) at the Charité in Berlin.

Sebastian Hönes (Bild Mitte) received the Von Basedow-Preis 2016 of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Endokrinologie (DGE) for his studies on physiological effects of non-classical action of the thyroid hormone receptors TRα and TRβ. Hannah Kohler has received the “Medizinpreis 2015" of the Stiftung Universitätsmedizin Essen in the category “Forschung – Nachwuchsförderung“. Hannah Kohler’s research focuses on the investigation of the growth and behavior of anaplastic thyroid carcinoma, the most aggressive type of thyroid cancer.
